L-447 H.D. Alfalfa
L447H.D is a Highly Digestible alfalfa. Increasing digestibility has been shown to improve intake and generate positive milk production (up to 5 lbs. per cow per day). This alfalfa is the most digestible alfalfa you can buy. Perfect for commercial hay producers selling to dairies and horse operations. It is also a great alfalfa for beef cows. And it yields! It was in the top three varieties in trials in 9 of 11 states where it was tested in 2008. A proven winterhardy and disease resistant variety, L-447H.D. maintains its quality in the field and averages a 7 percent yield advantage over similar varieties in more than 250 cuttings. Dark green color, 29 of 30 DRI, very winter hardy, and it fits well in 3 or 5 cut system.
