We first offered NaTurf Brand Cody Buffalograss in 1995 and brought Bowie Buffalograss to the marketplace in 2002. These new turf-type buffalograsses have been very well received by professional turf managers and homeowners alike.

Bowie Buffalograss
Bowie Provides the Turf Professional and Novice Alike with a Low Maintenance Turfgrass, Without Sacrificing Quality. Buffalograss is known for its low water usage, winter hardiness and low vertical growth habit. These traits significantly reduce labor, irrigation, mowing and fertilization costs. Bowie buffalograss meets all of today’s standards for a low maintenance turfgrass. Bowie was developed by the Native Turf Group in cooperation with the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. It is a four clone synthetic turf-type buffalograss. Parental clones were selected from Texas, Colorado and Nebraska, on the basis of developing a widely adapted seeded turf-type buffalograss variety with excellent turf quality. Developed specifically for turf quality, Bowie possesses medium green color, fine leaf texture, good turf density, and low growth habit. Bowie has improved lateral growth for quicker establishment.

Cody Buffalograss
Cody Buffalograss is rapidly becoming the standard by which buffalograss is measured, having established itself as a premier warm season turfgrass. Faster establishment, higher density, lower growth rate, excellent winter hardiness, low water requirement, darker color, fine texture and a wide area of adaptation give Cody the edge as the choice for low maintenance areas.
