Small Grains
Arrow Seed has long been a leader in producing and marketing small grains with an emphasis on hard red winter wheat. This position of leadership has been earned through extra care and professionalism in conditioning and marketing the latest improved varieties of certified small grains. Products include Agripro and public wheat varieties, seed oats, and forage small grains.
| Stallion Oats | | |
| Stallion is a medium-late variety, 1-2 days later than Jerry and is approximately two inches taller than Jerry. Stallion, when compared to Jerry, has superior grain yield and test weight. Lodging resistance is slightly lower than Jerry. |
| Everleaf 126 Oats | | |
| New higher yielding forage oat variety with extraordinarily long season growth. It is recommended for irrigated production only. Medium to tall height with good standability. |
| Jerry Oats | | |
| This dual purpose oat may be grown for either forage or grain. Grain is white, large, with very good test weight. Forage yield and quality is good. |
| Loyal Oats | | |
| Usually considered a forage oat, it is slightly later in maturity and slightly taller than Jerry. Straw is good but not as strong as Jerry. This oat makes good hay and fair grain. |
| Winter Rye | | |
| Preferred Uses: Grazed – some short term fall grazing after October 15th with adequate fall moisture and early planting; spring grazing from about April 1 through May; Hay – cut in boot stage in late May to early June. |
| NE422T Triticale | | |
A tall, forage triticale with late maturity, excellent forage yield, and good winter-hardiness. Excellent
variety for late spring grazing or hay crop. |
| NE426GT Triticale | | |
A medium height grain triticale with early maturity, good forage yield, and good winter-hardiness.
Some fall grazing and early spring grazing. |
| 60/40 Forage Blend Triticale | | |
A blend of 60% NE422T and 40% NE426GT. This combination of a medium maturity dual purpose triticale and a later maturity, tall, forage triticale provides maximum grazing opportunity. Providing some fall grazing, as well as excellent, extended spring grazing. The later maturing component of the blend can extend grazing later in the spring than rye or other grain type triticales.
